Submission of Presentation File

The presenting author of the accepted abstract is required to submit their presentation file to the IFS Secretariat (ifs2026@upv.edu.ph) not later than 30 September 2026.  Email subject must include “Student Oral Competition”.  The presentation should be saved as Microsoft PowerPoint Format (at least 2010 version) with slide numbers at the lower right corner. Please check the program guide and use the presenter’s code as filename of your PowerPoint presentation.
The Secretariat will no longer accept presentations on the day of the conference.

Mechanics for Competing Oral Presentation

  1. Papers for student competition will be presented in separate sessions for each Research Category. Submitted papers must follow the guidelines for Submission of Presentation File. Presenters should be present at the venue at least 15 minutes before their presentation schedule.
  2. Each presentation is allotted 15 minutes. The presenter should only speak for strictly a maximum of 10 minutes and leave 4 minutes for questions and answers. The remaining 1 minute will be allotted for finalizing the scores before moving on to the next presentation.
  3. A timekeeper will be assigned to each session and will notify the presenters on the remaining time for each presentation. Notification cards will be raised when the time reaches 5 minutes (“5 minutes left”) and 8 minutes (“2 minutes left”) for the presenter to wrap-up their presentation by then. A “Time is up” card will be raised when the time reaches 10 minutes. The 5 minutes Q & A will then follow shortly after each talk.
  4. The presentation should be delivered in English.
  5. A panel of judges will be designated to evaluate the presentations. The Best Student Oral Presenters for each category will be declared as winners (1 winner per category). The decision of the judges is final.
  6. The judging criteria for the oral presentation competition is as follows:

Scholarly Content                                                    35%

Organization (logical presentation of ideas)            25%

  1. Certificates of Recognition will be given to all oral presenters at the end of each session.
